October Update

October 22, 2015 |

This is an update to let you know that all the registration is up and going for the fatbike race and the runs. We’re all ready to go, permits in place, and ripping through the planning stages of all the races.

Both the Frozen Feet Night and Frozen Feet Runs are a go and I’m really excited. They are a great opportunity for more people to experience the awesome winter scene that Elm Creek Park provides.

While I encourage you to dig around the website to get all the information, here is a quick summary for all three races (A NOTE: The fatbike race is nearing the registration capacity, so hurry…):

Frozen Feet Night:

(There are categories for both regular running shoes and snowshoes)

Description: The Frozen Feet Night Run is a on-snow nighttime winter trail 5k run at Elm Creek Park in Maple Grove, Minnesota. It’s a unique run because, while there are many 5k’s throughout the country, there are very few that are held on snow and trails, and even fewer on trails at night. The course is packed, but there is no guarantee that there won’t be extra snow on top. Runners can use their regular shoes or opt for snowshoes…it’s up to you!

Getting Rolling

Hello all,

We’re excited to get the show on the road for 2016. You can expect a very similar Fatbike Frozen 40; however, this year we will be adding a 20-mile option. What does that mean? Because we are limited to only 200 races, it means that both the 40-mile and 20-mile options will be extra limited. You should get registered asap.

In addition to the fatbike race, we’re working on offering some running races. The Frozen Feet Night Run will be a nighttime on-snow trail 5k run on Saturday night. The Frozen Feet Run will be an on-snow trail run offering three distance options – a 5k, 10k, or half marathon. We are currently working out details on the run with Elm Creek and will post all of the necessary information as soon as we have it.

We’ll be freezing your seat and your feet in 2016!

We hope to see you out there.
